As I Move Off

Today

In the anthills of silence
Its just not the words my love
Thats lost to us
But the rhythm of our hearts too.
When the soul yearns for rain
While you go darker still like an overcast sky
I leave, ignoring those riled up eyes and choked up words
Adios.

Tomorrow

You must still be pouring now
Your repose, one akin to hardened dew
May, now be gone disheveled and shaken
Like a piece of rag in deluge
Ah, let the rains be over
Like a pearl of dew still not dropped off the leaf
May your eyes be never dry and be filled
Ah, misty these memories ever,

Post Scriptum or Return Ticket

Pelted and benumbed
Drained and pale
Shorn off the shadow even
Me, a faceless image
May have gone off your senses.
Yet, beloved,
One day,
That door I half closed and stepped out,
I will open gently and come to you.
Till then,
Like a teary memory,
In quivering lips and
Throbbing bosom
Bid me adieu
My dear

What She Must Have Kept In Those Eyes Of Hers?!

Difficult it was
To look into her eyes
Without getting mine moist.
Certainly messy, a refuge in dark glares
While bidding adieu.
And eyes wont lie , you know?!

Eyes, they conceal an ocean
Yet, just wont stay quiet when we badly want them
It will give us up,
Like a jealous acquaintance.

Believe me,
Would have stayed off
A scenario so clumsy,
Yet, the faint flicker of hope
That she may still stay
Nudged me on;
Only to sit in silence
For an hour and half
Staring at the lonely Budha
In the middle of the crimsoned lake

I didnt move
When, with a gentle clasp and
What sounded like " Be Good"
She faded off into the setting sun.
Didnt look at her at all

Now, after all these years
Badly wanted to know
What she must have kept in those eyes of hers?

Wholesome Holes..

Souls leave no shadows
And no more shades either
For, they remain in those
Moth eaten sepias as relics of
Those we have loved once
And killed many times over

Souls leave holes only
Wholesome holes ; says some in mock jest,
In wry smiles and ever dried up pearls.
Abandoned shadows on wanderlust
Ever on an unrelenting search for shells to nestle in
Knowing little that nothing indeed fits in.
